Our Philosophy

Perfect practice makes perfect. Our training programs provide players with the opportunity to master new skills through excellent instruction, hundreds of repetitions, correction by questioning, and positive motivation. Players rapidly learn new skills with our proven coaching techniques; End Pint Visualization and Backwards Shaping. Many testimonials prove this method not only improves our students hockey playing abilities but also yields positive effects at school and in other areas of their lives.

Our Hockey Programs

Puckmasters is currently offering seven primary one-on-one membership programs: Learn to Skate, Learn to Play, Skills Plus, Competitive Travel, the Defenseman's program, SCATS program, Skills Plus Goalie, and Goalie's Competitive Travel. Each program is comprehensive in nature and focuses on developing a "complete" player, however each can be modified to address the specific needs of the individual.

Our programs are designed with a clear progression which seeks to build on the skills learned from one session to the next, while keeping in mind the particular ability level of the player. Therefore the length and intensity of each session, along with the starting point and sequence of the particular skills covered, are unique to each program.

The Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Programs are designed for beginners, while the Skills Plus programs (both skater and goalie) are best suited for intermediate level players and the Competitive Travel Programs (both skater and goalie) are perfect for the elite level players. Our coaches and staff are well trained to consult with both players and parents to determine the best program for each individual.

The Skills Plus and Competitive Travel programs (both skater and goalie), and the Defenseman's programs have a total of 48 skill-specific lessons. Players can register for membership packages of 12, 24, and 48 lessons which range in duration between three and six months to one full year. The Learn to Play program is 16 lessons long and runs for four months, while the Learn to Skate program is 12 lessons and is three months long.

All training sessions are scheduled based on the member's appointment convenience. Programs are primarily taught one-on-one, but small groups may also be arranged with alternate pricing. Costs range between $45 and $75 per session, depending on the program and length of the membership term. Players can also test our programs by taking a single or "Drop-In" session at a rate of $50 for a 30-minute session and $60 for 45-minutes.
