Puckmasters Summer Hybrid Hockey Camp
Click Here to Enroll Online Now!!! The ConceptProvide a professional training atmosphere that can develop players and goalies over the summer months with a focus on skill progression and increase physical conditioning. Our Hybrid program consists of a three phase training system that over the course of each day will provide a steady increase in resistance training until the last phase at which an 'over speed' level is reached. Skills are acheived since each session will focus on 1-2 skills only. Through constant repetition of various drills; skills will be mastered and the results will be inevitable. We will be measuring the progress of each player through the use of the latest laser timing technology every month on ice. Performance measurement is accurate to 1/100th of second and results can be compared with 20,000 other hockey players online. Shooting performance will be measured (speed, accuracy and responsiveness) with our in-house shooting simulator and data will be stored in each player’s profile. Sessions are twice a week in the morning and will run the duration of the summer starting the second week of June. The SolutionPuckmasters new Hybrid hockey camp promises to effectively keep players in motion over the summer with its nine week training program. This program is designed to keep players in top shape by offering a 3 phase training cycle each visit.
Phase I
Muscle stability and shooting accuracy: Objective: Stretch and warm up body in preparation for increased heart rate levels. Achieve muscular development of primary and secondary muscle fibers for overall strength. Develop 'fast-twitch' muscle groups for quickness and increase stamina through cardiovascular drills. Coaches corner: Every great hockey player has one thing in common; A core base of strength and muscle stability. With the Puckmasters Dryland training program, each player will be challenged with speed and agility drills designed to make players stronger and faster. Moreover, our approach to Dryland makes each lesson fun and interactive by incorporating multiple stations for quick training and minimal rest intervals. Each Dryland sequence includes the latest exercise equipment and sessions will be tailored to match player's age level for safety and effectiveness. One of the stations is Puckmasters interactive shooting simulator.Phase II
Objective: Hockey skill development, Cardio conditioning and hockey specific muscle development. Utilizing Puckmasters ProSpeed™ ice surface, player’s cardio continues to climb for peak results. Coaches Corner: Hockey skill development is what we do best and who else to teach the necessary skills to get better? With 15+ years of training history and over 1 million private lessons completed internationally, you can ensure that there is no other training curriculum with more detail and experience. Our 9 week development program is designed with results in mind. Repetition is the key to success so each training session will be dedicated to learning 1-2 new skills only! Once the skill is taught, it is essential for players to have the ability to repeat immediately. Our drills change every 3-5 minutes so you can be sure that every lesson has the great diversity, skill challenge with an upbeat tempo. Got Cardio? We do. With Puckmasters ProSpeed™ resistant training ice surface, we guarantee that players will develop strength and conditioning with the 25% less glide ratio under their skates. Phase III
Objective: Allow skills and skating techniques to be practiced on real ice. Continue to practice the skills learned in phase II and develop 'fast twitch' muscle groups with zero resistance for an 'Overspeed' type training session. Coaches corner: After a quick rest, it's time to hit the ice and the cooler climates of Hot Shot ice rink conveniently attached to Puckmasters. Players will notice significant increase in speed and movement with the removal of the resistance in previous Phase. This phase will automatically introduce an 'Overspeed' feel when skating without resistance and players will use muscle groups faster for a sensation relative to running downhill. Format includes 30 minutes of continued skill repetition then finish off with 30 minutes of fun games and challenges. Conclusion and Wrap Up SportQuest Timing System
